ESSENTIAL OILS
An essential oil is the natural oil or ‘essence’ extracted from a plant.
Essential oils are often used for aromatherapy, a form of alternative medicine in which healing effects are ascribed to aromatic compounds. Aromatic plants have also been the basis for herbal and botanical medicines and remedies for thousands of years. Essential oils have not only stood the test of time, they have proven their efficacy and effectiveness on every level. Tradition and historical records provide proven insights and understanding of how essential oils were used in the past, and there has been many modern clinical studies and publications documenting the efficacy and benefits in today’s world. |

CARRIER OILS
Pure essential oils are very potent and only very small amounts are needed for good health. Oil of the Good Samaritan products are diluted with appropriate carrier oils ready for use. Our products come in different dispensing containers that either drop or rub the oil so you can control the quantity.
Our business uses the three carrier products to control the concentration of the essential oils and are carefully selected to maximize the best outcome of the intended application. Olive oil Used for many centuries Olive oil is the carrier oil used in our dropper bottles. Olive oil is enriched with anti-inflammatory properties and rich in antioxidants. Traditionally used to anoint people through the ages and is used as a carrier oil for the Oil of the Good Samaritan. We use organic Australian grown and pressed olive oil. Coconut oil Pure fractionated coconut oil is a fragrance free, clear and non-greasy carrier oil that your skin will readily soak up. It is made from pure virgin coconut oi. The fractionation process separates light and solid parts of the coconut oil, which means that it never solidifies. It leaves the coconut oil very light and your pores will easily absorb it. Coconut oil is very stable and a long shelf life. Traditionally used as the carrier oil for the Oil of Saint Michael Archangel. Rosehip oil Rosehip is the carrier oil sometimes used in our roll-on bottles. Rosehip oil is packed with vitamins and antioxidants that are beneficial for good health. Great for the skin and is considered a ‘dry’ oil as it absorbs into the skin easily without leaving an oily residue. This carrier oil is sometimes used in the Oil of the Good Samaritan roll-on bottles. Read the description of the roller you purchase to check what base carrier is used. |
