HISTORY
The Oil of the Good Samaritan is based on the renowned Thieves Oil.
In 1413 the Bubonic Plague (Black Death) killed over 200 million people. Legends tell the story of four thieves who were captured and accused of taking the belonging of dying and dead people. When the thieves were prosecuted the magistrate offered them clemency if they revealed how they avoided getting infected while they were stealing. The thieves said that they were perfumers and merchants of spices, and that they had heard of a special preparation of aromatic herbs which by rubbing it on their hands, ears and temples protected them from disease. This is why it was called Thieves Oil. In 2016 the name was changed to the Oil of the Good Samaritan, as directed by our Blessed Virgin Mary, and is to be used to protect us now and in the future. In 2022 our business started blending the Oil of the Good Samaritan because we wanted to make sure all Australians who seek this product had access to it. It will help protect us from disease that we will be exposed to now and over the coming years. |
